(A) Officer-in-Charges
EWS PROTOCOL FOR TRANSFERRING IPD PATIENTS:
- Treating doctor/nodal officer of the Government hospital will identify the eligible EWS patient requiring transfer to identified private hospital.
- The availability of requisite free bed/specialty to be checked from the Delhi Government webpage by the Nodal Officer/ PWO
- Nodal Officer/ PWO of the concerned Government hospital will contact the nodal officer of the concerned private hospital where such requisite free bed is displayed vacant/available
- (as per Delhi Govt. Webpage) to re-confirm the availability of requisite speciality of free bed.
- The treating doctor of the Government hospital will discuss the case history, treatment provided and further treatment required by the patient with the treating doctor/nodal officer of the private hospital where the patient is being planned for transfer.
- After ensuring availability of requisite specialty(ies), the patient shall be transferred in an ambulance ( hospital/ CATS ambulance) accompanied by a doctor along with the documents, namely, Transfer summary ( to be prepared by the Resident doctor of the concerned Department ) Referral proforma & Undertaking regarding eligibility ( to be prepared by PWO) and duly forwarded by the nodal officer.
An email has to be sent to the identified private hospital where the concerned patient is being referred to mentioning therein the following details:
- Name of the patient
- Age
- Sex
- CR No., if any
- Department/diagnosis
- Hospital referred to
- Critical/ non-critical
The accompanying Resident doctor shall physically hand over the patient to the Emergency Medical Officer of the concerned private hospital and will take an acknowledgement of the same and submit the same to the PWO/Nodal Officer.
PREFERABLY, IPD PATIENTS SHOULD BE TRANSFERRED DURING THE DAY TIME AND BED SHOULD BE BOOKED BY THE NODAL OFFICER ( Login ID = Employee ID ) PRIOR TO TRANSFER.
THIS PROCEDURE IS MANDATORY PRIOR TO TRANSFERRING A CRITICAL PATIENT.
EWS PROTOCOL FOR REFERRING OPD PATIENTS:
1. The doctors in the OPDs as well as PWOs shall identify the eligible non- critical EWS patients willing/ requiring referral to identified private hospitals in the OPDs / OPD registration area.
2. Such identified non-critical patients who are willing to be referred to private hospital can also be directly referred by the PWO (preregistered) after filling the referral proforma (1+2 copies) and Undertaking. The copy of referral proforma and the Undertaking to be filled by referring doctors are available on LAN of our HIMS.
3. Eligible patients requiring referral identified by various Departments in their OPDs may also be sent to the Help Desk where the PWO shall fill the referral proforma ( 1+2 copies) and assist the patient/ attendant in filling the Undertaking. The said proforma is to be signed by the referring doctor and the Nodal Officer .
4. An email has to be sent to the identified private hospital where the concerned patient is being referred to mentioning therein the following details:
- Name of the patient
- Age
- Sex
- CR No., if any
- Department/diagnosis
- Hospital referred to
PUBLIC GRIEVENCE PROTOCOLS
There is provision of redressal of Public Grievance through Public Grievance Redressal Officer. Grievence Redressal Officer is Dr. Ritu Dharmarha, Dy.Medical Superintendent.
